Meet Our Founder
Michael J. Polo, Ph.D., is a distinguished composer, producer, and arts entrepreneur whose vision has shaped the global music landscape. As founder of Partners for the Arts Abroad, LLC, he has launched acclaimed international festivals, including the Vienna Summer Music Festival, London Summer Music Theatre Academy, LA Music Industry Summer Academy, São Paulo Contemporary Composers Festival, and the Sofia Symphonic Summit.
Michael has produced hundreds of concerts and over 300 world premieres, spanning orchestral, operatic, chamber, musical theatre, and popular genres. His collaborations include premieres with the Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil, Sofia Philharmonic, and Brasília National Symphony, as well as exclusive performances for the Young Presidents Organization at Vienna’s legendary Musikverein.
As a composer, Michael is celebrated for his melodic brilliance and harmonic depth, heard in works like Mad Hatter the Musical and the opera PLUTO. His doctoral research explores the physiological impact of orchestral music and its emotional resonance, deepening his artistic voice and scholarly insight.
Based in New Jersey with his wife, Theresa, and their son, David, Michael remains dedicated to advancing the arts, championing emerging talent, and creating transformative musical experiences around the world.
